This set of Johnson Bros. 4 dinner plates commemorating a Century of Progress 1833-1933 by Marshall Field & Co. are a rare and decorative collectible set originating from England. The plates have a pleasing ring of embossed flowers and a scalloped edge. The plates are in excellent condition for display, one plate has crazing (see closeup photo) and none have chips, cracks or stains (please zoom in on all photos as they are part of the description). Made of ceramic material with a glossy finish, these 8 3/4" round plates feature a red and white color scheme with a pattern depicting The First Fort Dearborn 1803. The set, showcases an Edwardian style and is a representation of milestones in Chicago's history, making it a unique addition to any dinnerware collection.
